Too Much, Or Not Enough?
Liner Notes
It's #OddTimeSignature time again (this one's in 5/4) and I've gone a bit #metal. Are twelve tracks of #guitars too much? I don't think so.
Lyrics
There's compensation Then again, there's greed And indignation At how much more he'll 'need' As if it mattered What poorer people say He just acts flattered And does it anyway
You might like giving things away or just acquiring stuff One person's 'too much' Is another's 'not enough'
He's unsophisticated, a 'glass half-empty' guy Never satiated; ambitions multiply Gets richer anyway (that's what rich people do) You can work 'til Doomsday, he'll still have more than you
That salute he's throwing? We all know what it meant Now the clamour's growing, The shouts of discontent You think it's accidental? You think he wouldn't dare? One truth is fundamental: This modern life's unfair
There'll be investigations Performed behind his back Multiple operations And new plans of attack Growing scrutiny Sees every line that's crossed Short-term immunity Comes with a heavy cost

An odd time signature but an even number of guitars? Come on!
Love that heavy groove, rock on!
More is more š It's always fun to play around with "expectations" when doing odd times. Just when you catch the beat, you go way off - fun moments ;) But another cool thing to do is to make a weird signature sound very normal!
Very fitting time signature and you are so fluent in this now. As long as guitar track hoarding is socially accepted there can't be too many guitars.
Concerning your lyrics: Let's hope there will be investigations...
Really like all the layers of guitars in here and intense chugs, the timing keeps you on your toes for changes, cool solo as well!
Oh, you KNOW you can never have too many guitars. It's really not possible. And certainly not when they all sound this lovely together. The 5/4y-iness of this lends a particular itchiness to the already rather pointed lyrics in a very effective way.
Cool stuff, and a little weird. Twelve guitars? Not too much, sounds fine, can't tell them apart. I've listened to enough King Crimson to not have any issues with 5/4 and other odd time signatures, so I quite like it. I like your voice too, a little rough but articulate. And I can picture the guy in the lyrics.
Some very ominous moods running through, not sure if that was enhanced by the stilted 5/4 meter. Fits well with the lyrical 'story'. Think you could have added a bit more guitar though - can't hear any 12 string in there...
