Lyrics

Stitch by Stitch [Verse 1] Snow falls soft on the prairie ground, Grandma’s got her old quilt out. She hums a tune, it’s genuine, Sews a little love into every line.

[Pre-Chorus] Every thread, every seam, Carries voices, carries dreams. Side by side, hand in hand, We’re all part of the same homeland.

[Chorus] Stitch by stitch, we’re holding tight, Awakening as the northern lights. Every colour, every name, Woven deep, we’re all the same.

[Verse 2] East coast waves and northern pines, City lights and open skies. The maple leaf, the stories grow, Tied together, don’t let go.

[Pre-Chorus]

[Chorus]

[Bridge] Pass it down, don’t let it pale, Love is sewn in each detail. From the past into today, We keep the fire, we light the way.

[Final Chorus] Stitch by stitch, we’re holding tight, Through the long and starry night. Every colour, every name, Woven deep, we’re all the same.

And when the winter winds may call, We’ll be wrapped inside it all. A quilt of love, a quilt of light, Keeping us warm through the night.

I like the bluesy vibe you have going here. It's a new sound for you that works very well. "Quilt of love, quilt of light"...great phrase!

Great idea to incorporate your music into another hobby. Love that you've done that!

a song about quilting sounds like a song about the fellowship in a community, family and even between generations. To me this has the message of cherishing the connections to those on whoms shoulders we stand. Quite profound. A quilt of love indeed.

I love everything about this! The song itself is so cheerful and fun, the lyrics painting the most beautiful imagery about quilting… amazing! Great song!
