Left It All On Stage

Liner Notes
Just had fun with the weekly song prompt.
Lyrics
VERSE 1 Didn't know what I was doing Well that never stopped me before What’s the worst thing that could happen? We might take a few detours Always up for adventure Come and play with me We’ll have the best of times Make some epic memories
CHORUS
Oh I’ll try anything once
& I’ve got the scars to prove it
Don’t have to double dog dare me
cuz I’ll just do it
Think you’ve seen it all?
Just wait till you turn the page
And the legacy that I’ll leave
Is that I left it all on stage
VERSE 1
Thought you’d sit in the corner, ha!
Come on take my hand
I’ll be your safety net
Don’t you worry ‘bout landing
You see I had the greatest teachers
Who threw me in the pit
Cheering from the side
As I repeatedly biffed it
And oh, yes, I survived
Indeed I did more, I thrived… Now..
CHORUS

I love the melody you came up with for "Just wait till you turn the page" -- kind of caught my ears off guard but it's so cool. This is a fun song (cheers for "biffed" -- a word I've never used) and you had me feeling like you were a bit Dolly Parton-esque, albeit with a slightly lower voice. I especially appreciate the shoutout to the "teachers" who threw you in the pit -- sometimes, the pit is the best place to learn.
Another fun tune to sing and dance to! Thanks for being a safety net for so many!
The vocals are great, and some really interesting chord changes in here! I like the lyric about the teachers throwing you in and you repeatedly biffing it but surviving, painted a picture of some of the biggest times of growth that probably all of us can relate to, trial by fire
Really nice voice and melody! I really like the lyrics. Bonus points for using the term "biffed it"
This is such a fun, optimistic-sounding song. I especially like the lines “think you’ve seen it all, just wait til you turn the page”. It’s a song of strength and confidence in yourself and what you can do - inspiring!
Beautiful, energetic performance of this great melody and lyric. I really like this simple, but so effective piano accompaniment. I really enjoyed this one.
