Not a Dog

Liner Notes
When I looked for challenges I stumbled over the Puppy-training Challenge by @glasscrow and it spoke to me. And for reasons unknown I put an F-chord in it (very proud of myself)

Lyrics
Not a Dog by C.J. Ueberall
You asked me to fetch something while you lounge on the couch Barely looking my way What’s next? Lay down, roll over, beg and come? And then you expect me to stay?
Yes, we had a moment, and I liked your touch But that doesn’t make me your bitch So, if you try to grab me one more time You’ll need more than one overhand stitch
Just to make it clear, I am no dog No stupid animal you can train If you think you’re my boss and you make the rules Then you are either drunk or insane
You have good sides, I don’t mind sharing my place But I am not yours to command I expect to be wooed, and dined and waited on Because I am that kind of grand
Did you just tell me to be quiet and drop it? No means no, wait, sit and stop it? If next it is good girl or heel I’ll show you hell so you’ll know how I feel
Just to make it clear, I am no dog No stupid animal you can train If you think you’re my boss and you make the rules Then you are either dumb or insane
If you think you’re my boss and you make the rules Then you are delusional and insane

This is a great answer to the puppy challenge! I love the refusal to be commanded and treated like a dog, the setting up of boundaries and power dynamics. And go you for using the F chord!
I really like the lyrics. Well done! Thanks for listening to my Farewell collab!
Very nice use of the puppy commands to meet the challenge and demarcate the limits of this relationship. Also very well performed.
The point of view is very nicely ambiguous (cat? human? donkey?), and it's a great message to anyone who thinks they get to order another being around.
Awesome observations. A great slice of life and a fantastic lesson in etiquette. And hooray for using the F chord.
Oh yeah! Puppy attitude with an edge! Love it! I like the music change up between the tender verses and driving chorus! And kudos to get the F chord in!!
