Dimes and Dollars

Liner Notes
Yesterday Teresa Borrenphol made national news because she was forcibly removed from a town hall meeting put together by the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee. As with all things in this age, it was captured in full hd and the striking images of a barefoot woman being man handled by three large men was cycled in the news for all to see. Yet, our age also brings with it the most micro of attention spans, so I wanted to captured this moment in time so it wouldn't be forgotten.

notestwo takes on this one. not bad for a new tuesday night tie-on. the NTNTO is my new way of referring to my parking lot writing sessions, i've replaced the bottle for pickup times, such is life, such is age, such is liver disease.
my breath was stressed on the chorus big time so that was affecting the delivery but i think it will be good practice to clean up. not sure i'll come back to this one per-se, but it was a fun quick NTNTO write.

A classic-style folk song about a modern-day figure. It's good to bring attention to the people doing some good, and you do so in a clear and catchy way. "Teresa, why they dragging you down?" is going to stay in my head for a while.
You captured this moment in time brilliantly. While it is a moment in time is reflects a broader timely reality that we are facing. It is a great protest song and your delivery isn’t preachy but draws us in to the story. Great job!
A good protest song of a classic style. Lots of stuff worth protesting these days, and I guess this is another for the stack.
Oh my God, that bridge! Such a rallying call. Your song hook at the end of the chorus is to die for, and the cape that is covering us all it’s just an amazing image. Your delivery brings this into a fine tradition of folk music creating folk heroes out of normal people.
love it when incidents like this are brought to public attention, i have seen several incidents such as this through many different adminstrations that received a brief mention in the news and were then forgotten. this is the kind of protest song i like..when you bring somethng to the attention of the public that they are probably unaware of.
I like this old fashioned feel. It makes me think about how old songs about heroes are also just about regular people then. And you’d think I could think of three examples. But not today.
