Rerun Me Down

Liner Notes
I had "Rerun Me Down" in a list of titles on my phone. I have no idea when or where that came from, but it was an interesting grouping of words. I started thinking of what it could mean, and came up with this.
Not a typical write for me, but that's the point of FAWM, isn't it!

Lyrics
You were no good for me Always wringing me out I was spinning my wheels Always trying to please
I'm so tired now But it sure was fun
Rerun me down Can we go another round Rerun me down Just once wasn't enough Rerun me down
I know I was the one who said we were done I didn't know I could be so wrong
I'm so tired now But I would do it again
Rerun me down Can we go another round Rerun me down Just once wasn't enough Rerun, Rerun me down
I can't count on you waiting around But, please ...
Rerun me down Can we go another round Rerun me down Just once wasn't enough Rerun me down

Haunting lyrics - excellent playing. Beautiful! Thanks for that!
I liked the chord sequence through the pre-chorus -- I've tried forcing these builds into the Ch with disastrous effect! -- this sounds very natural.
There's a neat range of dynamics given the acoustic-one-take, it's neat how richer tones seem to pop up in the chorus.
Henry Charles looks so content in his motor launch. 😎
