Way back in the sands of FAWM time, someone suggested a challenge to present a song as if it were from another artist / group. My mind went back to my university days when I won a Drag Queen contest singing "You Make me Feel like a Natural Woman!" 😁. I imagined I had continued with the lady in question and came up with my drag queen's signature tune which started: "They call me Queen Beaver honey, Because I never give a damn!" I have no idea where that pun came from - she invented her own persona without my help.
Anyway, since then I think there has always been at least one of my submissions that "she" sang on.
I thought this year would be an exception. But she insisted on continuing the tradition. So, hot from a sleazy late night cabaret here is Queen Beaver and "He's My Man" -

i'm picturing a smokey dive bar, maybe a speakeasy... and may a drag speakeasy at that, though not essential. nice turns of phrase and feels like a solid addition to the canon of "i love him anyway" songs!

Ha! The Queen Beaver is in fine form!!!! And she has a fine man, it seems! I love the slow jazzy feel! Great bass line and keys are lovely! The Queen has some great vocals!
