Liner Notes
Just another progression to explore and noodle over. This is I- bIII V- bV with a chromatic bassline 1 b3 2 b2.
I find these chromatic lines fascinating since they're a common trope in rock and metal (Megadeth, anyone?), and often in those genres, it's not obvious what the implied harmony is (or if there is one). As a lead player, it's possible to play many different things over these sorts of lines, and to be able to do that I find it useful to come up with these little "études" that underline a possible harmonic structure. This one is one of the stranger ones I suppose. Not the best music but solid practice 😄

You should collaborate with Sirius one of these days, I'm sure the result would be really interesting. 😄 The result of experimenting with cats for years is that I very often no longer notice dissonance is dissonant. As for what I'm listening to, "one of the strangers ones" doesn't sound strange at all to my ears; it only has an interesting mix of mournful and enthusiastic vibes. How cool. Every year you make me want to study music theory seriously. Too bad I never take the time.
Nice riffage, has an interlude feeling between scenes, full of reflection of what came before.
