DEVIL AT MY DOOR I heard a crunch On the gravel outside Opened up saw The devil at my door We're not quite buddies He comes round now and then I needed to have a word Or two or three or four’ I said ‘Come on, Come in sit down He did, looked at me Then he yawned like he was bored

I said ‘Hey, pal, You better listen I heard some stories That are going round People saying You're back to Rough and rowdy ways Don’t give me that Innocent who-me face They’ll run you out of town If you don't do your best To settle down, be nice, and behave

He shuffled his hooves Said ‘I'm doing the best I can’ But change is hard for an old goat like me’

Told him ‘Get on a program Do what you need You gotta find a better way Else you and I are through He stroked his beard Drew a deep breath Said ‘I'll think about it’

I grabbed his lapel Shouted ‘Don't think just do it Or you can go to Hell!’ If you’re not  gonna try You won’t be welcome In this abode again
