Lyrics

I WALK IN CIRCLES

I can't find my car keys I can't find my belt I can't find my energy I can't find myself

I walk in circles I walk in circles I walk in circles Unless I'm on the stairs

I can't find my shoes I can't find my socks Can't find my list of things to do My head is full of rocks

I walk in circles I walk in circles I walk in circles unless I'm on the stairs

I'm losing more things all the time It's like a hurricane's made landfall in my mind

Chorus

Yes, yes! I was just talking about this with my father-in-law. It could be a result of doorway effect (maybe not the energy 😆). Lovely sounds all around - very playful and percussive. The line, "unless I'm on the stairs" - haha!

We've all been there, but not everyone had this bombastic '80s style backing to bring their life to music. Love the chorus - the repetition of walk in circles feels earnest and then that last line hits and makes me chuckle.

Ha, I like the deadpan approach!

Great sounds - I loved that slightly detuned piano (?) and the overall plunky vibe combined with washy cymbals. The vocal delivery is terrific as well (and the humorously sad/sadly humorous lyrics are all too relatable).
