When I'm not FAWMing, I'm playing Valheim online with my sister. She's been trying to get me into it for years and I'm finally onboard, but this is a game where you die. A lot. And every time you die, all your clothes/food/equipment gets left in a little grave marker where you died, and you respawn wherever your house is and have to go on a naked spree back to your gravestone and pray you don't die again along the way. If the monsters that killed you are still in the vicinity, they will probably definitely kill you again since now you don't have any health or weapons. It's a whole thing. But I love it.
Lyrics
You’re fitted out, having fun, exploring a new biome Plenty of weapons, lots of food, because you’re far from your home Mining rocks, clearing chambers, wondering what you’ll find Then suddenly a troll appears and kills you from behind
Time for a C-O-R-P-S-E-R-U-N Corpse Run Naked running through the forest Weapon, wish you had one But boy oh boy they’re unavoidable Better just go have fun On your C-O-R-P-S-E-R-U-N Corpse Run
They put your gravestone on the map to remind you that you’re mortal If only you had had more time to quick whip up a portal But you take the long way up the mountain, now you’re really cookin Then a 1-star grey wolf takes you down when you weren’t even lookin
Time for a C-O-R-P-S-E-R-U-N Corpse Run You’re starting to have doubts that this game Could ever be won Every time you hear a noise you’re filled with pure Exhiliration On your C-O-R-P-S-E-R-U-N Corpse Run
The Viking life ain’t easy When you mine the very ore But it’s always really easy To wonder what you’re doing it for
Ahhhh! Poison blob!! splurt god dang it
Time for a C-O-R-P-S-E-R-U-N Corpse Run You’d gladly trade your iron spear for an anachronistic stun gun If you die on this mountain one more frickin time, maybe it’s time to be done After your C-O-R-P-S-E-R-U-N Corpse Run

I don't play online games. Probably a generation thing. Myst was my speed. But not only does this game sound like great fun, the song captures the bloody zaniness of it and makes you laugh at the same time! Are you a Todd Snyder fan by any chance?
Well, that's the first song I've ever heard about a corpse run! It's a fun one at that. I like the spelling part in the chorus and I enjoyed the rhymes.
Looks like the last time I played Valheim was in 2021. Should try again some time, it was fun!
