True crime documentaries are hugely popular with a certain demographic of young American women. I found this interesting... Watching TV about the most shocking, brutal and heinous crimes.
Went for a minimalistic approach for this one. It was a race to mix it down before more and more elements got added. Given another half hour it would have a 12-piece orchestra. Thank fudge it's late...

“Beyond the opaque” is a great line. I think the sparse arrangement works pretty well for this.

Amen brother. This true crime trend is outta hand. I love the simplicity of this and drama of the repeated line American Girl. BTW my all time favorite Petty song. Tho this is nothing like that. Also this theme reminds of the old Elvis Costello tune - Watching the Detectives. Well done.
