Kemböle: I was really bummed out after finishing fawm that I didn't come up anything with lyrics that @pumpkinhead sent me. Hes one of my favourite fawmers and this was the year for our collab. I started the song three times and nothing sticked.

Finished Fawm on song number 15 and gave up. Still a few hours left but no creative energy going through me. Sat on the sofa with my guitar and this riff came to me. It had this Extol energy. They have some fantastic dark riffs paired with the most hopeful and beautiful lyrics. So I sat at my computer and here it is. A dude can leave metal, but metal won't leave the dude. I'm really happy with the weird chords on this one. Might not be the genre and mix to showcase them, but really fun to play. Real fingers wide open chords.

Thanks @pumpkinhead for the support through all these fawms. Hope you like this one, may not be quite up your alley though ;)

Pumpkinhead: Wow! This was for sure the only way to approach this prestigeous and pathetic lyrics. You and @tangle are my favorite fawmers and I feel honoured that you took my words seriously. Next year we will continue. 🙏

Fantastic wall of sound! Love those driving drums and the great buzzy guitar riffs. Awesome bass. Strong gritty expressive delivery! Love the insight in the lyric!

I love how the lyrics read like a Beach Boys song and then the music just rips your face off. Awesome riff, great playing! My daughter came in and asked what I was listening to, sightly bewildered. I said "Oh, it's a song about two friends on a beach ..." and she replied "... disemboweling each other?"

Daaaammmmnnnnn, brutal vocals here! With the dark and menacing riffs they create a perfect pairing. And when you bring these lyrics to the mix, it makes the combination even greater.

Oof, such bulldozer riffs! And the doubled vocals sound so evil, further underlining the contrast between the lyrics and the music.

Oh yes that main riff throws everything in there for some beautiful chaos doesn't it? Rhythmically super interesting. The don't worry smile with your heart section is really great too, gets all expansive and open sounding. Love this.

Woah that punched me straight in the face right from the first note. Dark, desperate and dank. Kicks ass start to end.
