Ginger and Peppermint

Liner Notes

This tune sat in my unfinished folder for the longest time. I mean, years! Then within the last ten hours or so of FAWM 2025, it decided it was time to get finished and it slipped in under the wire. It came, I think, from a good cup of tea that hit the spot one afternoon long ago.

it is indeed a beautiful melody...with some nice development and a good sense of harmony and space and rhythm.... nice to hear!

What a beautiful melody. It's elegant, measured and wonderfully structured. @beacon is right, it has all the makings of a stately dance. Wonderfully refined. Thank you!

This is so lovely. I love the title - it's really evocative, but I just listened twice to pick up the tune properly and it's really subtle and unusual. I'm going to hsve a go at playing it tomorrow (on my fiddle) if that's OK?

This is a lovely tune, and I could see a sweet English Country Dance going on to it. I love ginger and peppermint tea also. I've written a few dance tunes, but never thought to write one for FAWM. That should be on my list for next year. #listeningskirmish
