For the #CommentsFirst challenge based on the first few comments I got on this post. They felt Lynchian to me, so I went with a Twin Peaks-inspired song. The first two lines are a quote by the orchid guy. RIP David Lynch

lots of cool imagery here from "hole of the donut" to "the coconut’s hull" and beyond. sppoky but playful vibes throughout as well. enjoyed how to stitched all the comments/prompts together!

Oh this is fun! Love the accordion, it really sets the perfect tone for these lyrics.

Nice comments first challenge. Turned out really well. My favorite line is "For orchids only bloom in hothouse air". Pirate jazz. The french was an excellent touch, and the secret of the phrase together we are solitaire is just great.

Wowza this is fabulous!! Of course you play accordion. This has my full attention, the Franglais, the interweaving and playful soundtrack of haunted house flavours, the singing black orchids spiking the punch. This is one potent and satisfying treat.

I don't know what that mysterious sound was, but it provided a beautiful descant. A moose?

Those Handclaps and finger snaps in the chorus and doubling that solo with kazoo was a great idea

I wasn't sure where you were going when you sustained that half-step in the vocal harmony for four beats... but the way it resolved was marvelous!

I notice that "orchids" come up in the lyrics three times. Is it an image or symbol of some kind?

I really enjoyed the solitary kick drum in the intro keeping time, that led to the acoustic finger picking riff. Very nice way to set the mood of the whole song. 👀
