Not sure I'll be doing much FAWMing but this song has been bouncing around in my head all January and I decided I needed to finish it and record it. Didn't feel like breaking out my usual home studio stuff, such as it is, so this was recorded on my bed after I woke up using my phone's GarageBand app, two acoustic guitars, one shaker egg, a harmonica, and 2 vocal tracks.

I love how you're pointing out the stumbling blocks in searching for the solutions to all the problems in the world. There's no doubt we NEED to work together to make things better and there's no doubt that it isn't easy to solve all the world's problems. But if we each did our little part suddenly the world would be a better place. Yeah, you go first. The arrangement works perfectly for this. I dig this a lot.

Great hook, and what a twist to the theme. This sort of twist aligns perfects with the instrumentation and the harmonic solo. I'm shaking my head yes at the start, yes yes, yes and then... "now you go first", and i'm just a total loss from there forward, or so i thought, because as you break into each verse I'm just hypnotized back into believing everything you say until the hook hits me again and I realize that I've been deceived again. A perfect take on the state of the word it would seem.

"you go first"--send me a text when you're done. Strong concept for a hook. Catching writing and I like your classic Americana vocal sound.

Powerful stuff - vocals, guitar and harmonica all work really well. And the lyrics are great, "I'm glad we agree - now you go first" hits hard every time it drops. Nice work

My son said, "This song should go in one of the Minions movies. It's really good." I agree. Not about the Minions. Great place to put a harmonica too!
Strong message and I love your vocal tone.
"Now you go first" is a strong line
The vocal doubling in verse two really lifts it up. And then a harp sounding like steam train, heaven.

i love the sardonic title and how it fits into the verses. good strong strumming and powerful yet controlled vocals make this an exciting listen.

This shows the problem about taking action very well. There are a lots of inspirational ideas and actions when people are talking, when it comes to action nobody or very few step forward. "You go first". what a brilliant song. I really like the vocal melody. It has a undescribable authority to it.
