Breathe
Liner Notes
My plan for now is to get as many lyrics down as I can, as I find that to be the hard part for me.
This is very much NOT something I would normally put out (usually I'm too much of a coward to be of this on-the-nose), but we're here to FINISH songs, not make perfect songs. It's easier to make a bad song good then to make a good song from scratch in my very limited experience
Is writing "instrumental" cheating? It's not abnormal for me I promise...
Lyrics
Breathe, just let it all out Be, there's time to just Need, a little more time Sleep, and if you can find
Rest, The world won't stop, it's not all a Test, you don't need to sprint till you Break, just a little can help you Make some time
Please...
(Instrumental)
Close your eyes and count Flowing lines and words about Nothing, just exist for a while and Be...
Moving just a little at a time Move a little, it'll be alright Take a little extra time and Breathe
Breathe a little, let it out Breathe a little, let it out Breathe...

This is so beautiful!!! For it to be something that's out of your comfort zone, you really did a lovely job! Knowing how beautifully you play piano, I am anxious to hear music with this ;)
Really great lyrics. I like how the first word links the preceding and following lines. I would be rather proud if this!
I think what you meant might be "(solo)" instead of "(instrumental)". Solos are fairly common in songs and mentioning them in lyrics is totally not cheating.
Now a just-lyrics song that just says "(instrumental)" would definitely be cheating. 😉
This is nice, particularly to set the mood at the start of the event.
having just listened to your song about the moon, I can hear you performing this one, and I like it. hope you'll make a demo of it.
I'm with you: usually lyrics should oughta be subtext. but this is one step removed: yes, it's advice, it's direct and literal, but it doesn't point a spotlight on who is going through what. each of us can bring our own thingness, ponder it a bit, and be reminded to breathe despite whatever it is.
