I am not feeling very creative, so I just copied the placeholder for the title.

Really had fun with this :)

@complexissimple Wasn't expecting the growling! It sort of sneaks up on you, doesn't it?

The chorus really stands out, it's like an anthem.

@thinkalto This song proves that harmony parts don't have to do a lot to do a lot. That one static voice really added a lot of power against the lead melody; I think Green Day uses that same trick a lot!

@thedutchwidows Hey @seemanski! Love what you've done here with the verses in 6/8, such a cool vibe, the bass part really grooves!

Lyrics

Stay shut, don't look up At a constant reminder of what's to come

Fake smiles. washed lines stained blood burnt out skies

you're required To never let it out never let it out You're required To keep it locked up tight You're required

Keep down, don't get up tame the beast In all but us

It's for the best For the rest So spin the weave and push it out,

and push it out

you're required To never let it out never let it out You're required To keep it locked up tight You're required

@audrey

Wow! Great job incorporating those challenging CommentsFirst requirements. This is a very cool and creative song. Powerful performance. Love it!

Nice production on this one, love the groove.

This worked crazy well. Love the stop before the 100% anthem of a chorus, sounds huge. Vocal affects are ace too (the singing is also great and love how full on it is). But mainly: grooviest bass award pending.

This reminds me of Golden Palominos if they were good. The off kilter groove and the overdriven vocals are tasty - and I'm a sucker for a full stop and pop into hi-fi color in the chorus.

Kickass.

@emmyhush

This is a firecracker of a song. I love the filter on the vocal, fits the vibe of the lyrics excellently. And oh yess, the silent moments!!

@nadine

The beginning reminded me a lot of NIN but I don't know why! The 6/8 groove is cool. Its a great song

[avatar]

That really is a groove, and the little pauses add a little something extra. And that yell—wow!

[avatar]

That is so good. That 6/8 groove is really cool and the chorus takes off beautifully. As per wobbie's comment below, that howl and the way it tails off into the chorus is utterly brilliant. Challenge totally achieved!

wow i think i am the first post-song comment. that BV where it climbs and howls is EXCELLENT... not to isolate it but it all led to that and so satisfyingly so. I love how you have done the challenge, you incorporated all of that and it is delightful where those comments led, great song, great game
