Neverending Sunday

Liner Notes
Since its Groundhog day and Sunday, I did this. I find everything a little shaky but I really like the song. It'll be a good one after I've played it for a few weeks. I looped a tambourine underneath to lockdown the tempo, thinking I could add other stuff later. But this is FAWM!...gotta move on! I like the simple instrumental section, a bit bluesy, that runs into the lyric about St Louis Blues. #noAI #folk #pop
Lyrics
Clouds float, birds sway, a band plays Georgia Brown On a blanket in Harold Park with you Groups of laughing children, balls & kites & hoops Mothers watch, couples stroll two by two
Talk about the movies. She played that part so well I really thought the setting was done well Reminds me of a place sort of like this On a day like our Neverending Sunday
Small café, patio, sitting in the sun Talking ‘bout nothing, trying to make her smile Beige umbrella in the sun, picture of a saint I wonder if this ever goes out of style?
Old men playing chess, young men standing ‘round Bragging tough and watching girls go by Somewhere far away, where I couldn’t say Felt like our Neverending Sunday
Blues licks E - A
Pick guitar, soft and low St Louis Blues I hate to see that evening sun go down Curl up on the couch with a John Brownlow book Pack my trunk for a mental get-a-way
She’s sewing in the kitchen, listen to the song Marking time with every stitch she lays Reminds me of a time, not so long ago On a day like our Neverending Sunday

I dig the specificity in the references here, like you're wandering into a discussion with people who know each other really well. Really evocative images, I love "She’s sewing in the kitchen, listen to the song, Marking time with every stitch she lays". Feels like she's right there.
Something about this really reminds me of Randy Newman maybe crossed with Paul McCartney's solo work (Chaos and Creation in the Backyard). Great track!
Ohhh so peaceful and sounds exactly like a Sunday!
A great chill song! The way Sundays should be. Love the bluesy tone.
Great imagery. These cold days it's nice to remember those days.
Neverending Sunday is a great title. And, this feels EXACTLY like a neverending Sunday. Really enjoyed this. Simple, sweet, and unhurried.
This is beautiful. It reminds me of one of my favorite barbershop quartet songs:
