I love this idea. I think of it as, people don't need to save the earth, the earth is going to be just fine with or without people. It feels like a gorgeous reworking of Where Have All the Flowers Gone. The way you sing it also adds all this space and tenderness - like Mother Nature personified. Beautiful. Love the aaahs and the melody variation in the line "Hear the ticking of time…" is glorious. And the bittersweet of a world-ending message packaged in a sweet ballad adds power. The open production with piano and guitar is a lovely platform for your voice to sparkle. I'll be listening to this one again.

This is great. On the surface a pretty folk song with your pure vocals but it has a disconcerting dark underbelly in the narrative.
