Liner Notes

My first song uploaded! Happy to post despite it not being "perfect." Challenging myself to just write the song. Excited for the others I've started writing too. Thanks for listening and for the feedback! #rock #indierock #guitar #singersongwriter #codependent

Lyrics

FAULT LINES We never came into the picture clearly When we first met I was reeling from ex number one You spent that summer breaking up with Billy Your friends said get out there and find someone

I don’t know why we shout Sometimes I just hate working things out And I don’t believe no more, well…

We will survive these ruptures Of the fault lines beneath our feet. Or we may fall down this hole forever You know we dig ourselves in deep. And I know I should be somebody better If you’d stop saying who it is I should be. I should’ve dug up the courage to leave ya, Instead I dig myself in deep.

We weren’t looking for the big one, baby We were just hoping you and me could shake things up But when we got drunk, said we loved each other Well, looking back, that’s when we fucked it up

This is as story of not love A tale of codependency When you’re too afraid to find something stable You stay in your own misery

Very WALLOWS in the melody, very Gin Blossoms, very great indie vibes! If this is "messy", I don't know what to say. This is fully realized and your voice (both literally and figuratively) is clear, concise, and amazing. This is a wonderful first track! You should be proud

Ok so reading the comments and i totally hear Gin Blossoms and Arctic Monkeys here! Such a good message and I love the whole vibe :)

@nadine

Cool intro. I like your vocals a lot. They work so well on this kind of sound. Sound wise everything is falling into place. Why does remind me of Arctic Monkeys in a good way?. I like that!

The groove got me right away, and I like how some of the verse lines run longer than the others. I'm a child of the 90s and this would fit right in the rotation between Fastball and Gin Blossoms. Some really great lines in here too. Particularly liked the internal assonance of "When you’re too afraid to find something STAble/ You STAy in your own misery." Nice song!

this a cool tune! real catchy. real nice vocals on this. the dry slightly saturated vocal production really works well for this. really great job. this is so good

Great intro (and vamps)! Good job working the theme throughout the lyrics. Excellent demo and vocals.

@chomi19

Your singing is amazing and the lyrics alongside it really scratches that part of my brain.
