Liner Notes

3 a.m. on FAWM morning, Feb 1. Obviously I was excited to get started. The keyboard melody came to me. Once I started working on it during normal hours, I thought I’d go with “3 a.m.” as the working title. Most of my songs don’t clock in over 3 minutes, but at 3am, time is ethereal, lol, so it clocks in at 4:07. Most of us do dreamy, semi-obsessive thinking in the middle of the night, right?

Bottom line, I’m just glad to get my first 2025 FAWM song downloaded.

I like that juxtaposition of the rhythm of the sung verses, with the loop, and the oooos, it really does feel like being up obsessed in the middle of the night...The layers are the way those new voices keep coming online in my head....

Love the loop and groove on this. This feels kinda like Nick Cave, it's got that hypnotic and utterly cool quality that makes it want to just go forever. Great work!
