That car accident

Liner Notes
I think this song is best experienced without knowing too much.
With this song I tried to symbolize something. I say "tried" because I don't know if it's in any way accurate. I am very curious what people hear in it.
The song itself may be my best FAWM song since I started in 2018.

Wow ... this is so full of sound pictures, and the story unfolds. Sounds like it was a happy busy day or life, and then, given the heads up of the title, when the sound of the car is introduced, a fearful tension came too. I'm thankful you spared us the worst of the impact, taking us instead to the isolation of lying there alone. The relief of the helicopter coming begins the move on to safety and recovery. I hear a story conveyed with realism, emotion and beauty.. I listened several times.
#tit4tat has led me to some remarkable experiences, I'm glad this was one of them
The complexity of this track is quiet, and frankly, masterful. It feels so natural and floaty until "That Moment", which, if I'm to interpret the sounds and song title, is a perfect representation of life before an unexpected disaster. Never heard it done in such a way! Excellent storytelling. Cheers and never stop doing what you do! #tit4tat
Left brain hears a very well-constructed and balanced composition. Shifting time signatures underscore a sort of freeform, floating narrative.
Right brain experienced a sort of cyclical journey of ups and downs, possibly without any linear progression in any particular direction. Sort of like when you go to the theme park on a slow day and the roller coaster operator lets you ride over and over again would getting out of the car.
Holy time signature! Love the flute and harp! Really lovely and joyful beginning… The keys dance through it beautifully until we get to what ever that accident was abs were transported to someplace that felt sad and alone and the journey has been different since then due to loss or change … beautiful but not as carefree feeling. That is the journey that I felt with the music.
What I hear in it is a life interrupted, a difficult period of coping and recovery, and a return to something like before, but different.
And I like it. A slice of life in 3 movements.
This is very cool and the variety of time signatures is miles above my skill so, I marvel in what you have created. Definitely tells a story and based on the title, not the best of days. Hope everything turned out well for all involved. The production is fantastic too.
Solid compositional work. I'm a fan of @oddtimesignature and you've done a great job at seamlessly merging the different beats. I'm hearing a carefree day, a sudden unplanned disassembly, lying there on the ground hoping help arrives, the MedEvac helicopter, that welcome shot of pain relief, and optimism for recovery. I hope you'll post the actual story once FAWMers have weighed in on their impressions.
Nice! The variety of time signatures followed surprisingly well
Really cool sound design all over this one. Lots of storytelling all over it. Feels like a joy ride, a crash, a car falling into a river, then maybe some miraculous recovery or the gates of heaven. Excellent production and love the play with the time signatures. This was a real treat, great work!
Great write! Love all the time signature changes. It starts out cinematic in a beginning of the movie sort of way… then everything changes. Bouts of tension, sorrow, hope, lost hope… hope and realization. And back on the road for a resolved finish. 👏🎶
