Palindromic Round

by @gmcgath

Challenge: PALINDROME

Liner Notes

This is a three-part round or canon with a palindromic tune. The canon is played twice, once at a distance of one measure and then at a distance of two measures. I created and recorded the music using MuseScore.

Note: About 9:30 PM EST on Feb. 5 I uploaded a new MP3, fixing an error. #palindrome #instrumental

Wow! This canon is really lovely! I need a cannon/round lesson! I’ve tried a few and they feel muddy. This works perfectly as the lines interact beautifully!

@reboog711 They're are all generated by MuseScore's flute, oboe, and bassoon sounds.

I love the opening sounds. Is that all synthesizer, or are there a flute / horns in there?

Makes me think I'm in back playing an old school fantasy RPG.

This is very skilful and beautiful. Very impressive and musical.

This is absolutely lovely! I’m really enjoying the counterpoint and that little bit of a slow down in the middle before we get the round started up again. A wonderful answer to the palindrome challenge.

This is delightful! Playing with music patterns is such fun, and this arrangement works extremely well.
