The House Always Wins

Liner Notes
I was initially planning this to be more comedic and to take more inspiration from the song "ladyfingers" lovely song by the way, but it ended up spiraling into it's own thing with some bits and pieces here and there. this might sound silly for a song so serious but the main inspiration behind writing this was I was playing a new game called "Balatro" (great game by the way) where the main mechanic is playing and scoring poker hands, and I thought I could use so much poker word play now that I actually know what it means. I hope you enjoy this song and a fun bit of trivia I own a clarinet, but I do not own a trumpet... you're gonna have to guess how I did that one ;) (trigger warning mentions of alcohol and gambling)

Your vocals sound great and I like the lyrics even with my limited knowledge of poker. ;) I enjoyed the sort of solemn chords underneath the beat you chose.

jazzy. amazing. i appreciate that you broke out the clarinet. not gonna lie i thought it was a saxophone. keep it up!
Hah - I saw the comment Lynchian below - my wife and I love Lynch and we both were like ‘yup’ when we saw that. Funnily enough I thought of One Eyed Jacks while listening to it. Also - love the mouth trumpet, I need to put some of that into my songs..
