Nobody Likes Me
Liner Notes
Lyrics
I was born into a good life To a wealthy family Got my education And with a modest gift of millions Struck out on my own
The boardroom is a jungle It'll eat you alive You've got to have a killer instinct If you want to survive
But when I look out the window of my high-rise At all the little people down there They don't seem to care
What does it take to to get the respect I deserve? I'm a self-made man, for god's sake They ought to be lining up to shine my shoes
I bed all the most elegant girls Check out my second wife Those little piss-ants are just jealous They wish they had my life
Nobody Likes Me
OK, I get it, you're not successful You're not as smart as I am Worked as hard as I have
Your blood is poisoned By diversity and compromise Too lazy to keep your eye on the prize
But that's no reason To shine a light on my misdeeds To hold me to the standards of a peasant To say I hoard my wealth To the detriment of the poor and sick And have the gall to call me unpleasant
Nobody Likes Me
I'll take it all from you I run this whole damn system I'll run this country and I'll flush it down the tubes
You'll work your life away I'll take the wealth you made for me And I'll shoot it into space
Nobody Likes Me
It's so lonely up here
You'll work your life away I'll take the wealth you made for me And I'll take it to my grave

Simple, infectious chorus. Nice guitar. Vocals and backing vocals blend nicely.
Hmmm.... anyone in mind when you wrote this?? Seriously, this is a nice bit of scathing satire, and a great groove and catchy chorus too!!
Love your guitar work on this! These rich men are going to need to get their hands on either some small camels or big needles, that's for sure.
Another great song Chris. Definitely a toe tapping protest song. Really enjoyed this scathing takedown of the “self-made millionaires”.
