Liner Notes
I have 3 siblings. Life is crazy. One day you're a kid and you're surrounded by family and the next thing you know you have your own family and everyone is off doing their own thing.
Lyrics
little champagne dog i forget his name but he was always around Over at our cousin's house
cookie plates on holidays chocolate minty crunch wiping melt on jeans pet the dog and run
sister moved her family next door fixed it up and full of kids new pets and soccer games she’s come a long way
we’ve come a long way
brother born in a navy town a place i never knew but you could see it on his face nothing else felt like home
twists and turns of life brought us together and apart he gave every place a chance he’s gone a long way
we’ve come a long way
what can i say that hasn’t already been said? how can i put in to words? we rarely get the four of us together but when we do look out
we’ve come a long way

I love this, these lyrics are so creative. I love the verse about your brother whose face looked like “nothing else felt like home.” The guitar part perfectly captures the wistfulness of the lyrics, it really brings it all together!
Very evocative song full of emotion. The guitar is really nice and I really enjoy the lo-fi sound. Makes it seem old timey. I have one sibling, but spent tons of times at my friend’s house and cottage. They had 8 kids and two are around my age. It was chaotic and wonderful. Thanks for sharing this story.
Like it. Story is very well done
Love at the first seconds in. Beautiful chords, wonderfully wobbly guitar tone and the sentiment expressed in the lyrics hits home. In fact I’m a sucker for nostalgia and on the verge of tears now.
This is packed with emotion and nostalgia. That guitar figure creates such a vibe of reflection. I don't have a big family but you paint such a real picture I feel like I'm part of yours.
Beautiful song, singing and playing. Love the sentiment and the emotion. Performed with heart.
