Lyrics

From my two-storey window, I watch the world go by,
Clouds like silent memories drifting across the sky
Down below, tourists stroll, the street lights begin to glow,
Safe up here, it’s just me and the cat, nodding to each other Enjoying the show

Reflections in the glass, who I used to be,
It will be time to draw the curtains soon Two-storey window, lit by the moon Show me where the cold wind blows,
People wrapped in blankets as the boats go by

From my two-storey window, I can see it all The strutters and posers, the guys and the dolls From my two-storey window, the world is my own A king ensconced in his leather throne My cat by my side

My two-storey window My two-storey window

I love these lyrics. And your execution supports them perfectly. I'm sure we all feel like this sometimes. Spectator to a life moving on. But it's not always sad, sometimes it can have a calming effect. That is the feeling I get from this.

Lovely, a sweet guitar sound, clear beautiful voice, and a melody and lyric that balance each other so nicely. When I click play, however, the audio starts at the line "Show me where the cold wind blows" – so it seems about half the song is missing from the demo?

EDIT: Came back to listen to the updated demo, and I'm so glad I did! This song is so pretty, it's a shame to miss any of it. I really relate to the feeling of "enjoying the show" from an upstairs window – I can't get enough of simply sitting and watching the world go by.

Very nice! Amazing that you made four songs in an hour!

Two skirmishes in an hour. I doff my hat to you. Solid batch of lyrics, espcially considering the time crunch.

Nice guitar work and great vocals. A great hour's work.

I like the little slice of life vibe of this one, you paint a really clear picture of the narrator.
