See Us Coming

I've been meaning to write a protest song specifically for women in the US affected by the administration (YES, this includes trans women!) for a while, and I finally cracked it this morning.
Lyrics
Grab your colors, lay them on so thick Till they don’t recognize you Balm and blush and blood red lipstick Dye your hair a toxic hue
They are determinedly gutting our rights But we are the lights in the dark
They won’t ever see us coming But we’re coming, Don’t hesitate They won’t ever see us comin’ Till we’re storming the gates Don’t underestimate us
Hell hath no fury like a woman Who’s been scorned
Grab your friends and take the goddamn lead We can’t resist in silence March and plan and find someone to feed We all have skills to stand against the violence
They are determinedly shutting us out So shout to be heard in the noise
They won’t ever see us coming But we’re coming, Don’t hesitate They won’t ever see us comin’ Till we’re storming the gates Don’t underestimate us
Hell hath no fury like a woman Who’s been scorned
But we were born for this We can set us free We were born for this Deep calls out to deep
But we were born for this We can set us free We were born for this Deep calls out to deep
They won’t ever see us coming But we’re coming, Don’t hesitate They won’t ever see us comin’ Till we’re storming the gates Don’t underestimate us
Hell hath no fury like a woman Who’s been scorned

This is incredible, as usual - such power in both lyrics and delivery! I hate that this is the world we live in but you're knocking it out of the park speaking truth to power in your protest songs.
I have been a lover and writer of protest songs since i wrote my first one in 1964. For the past eight years or so we have been inundated with namby-pamby anti-trump songs that could have been written by CNN newscasters. No personality, no personal point of view, noting we couldnt hear just by turning on the television. But here we have a real voice. A strong voice of protest, a stirring call to action. No tired homilies, but a precise and insightful call to action to battle a specific enemy, And it is very exciting for me, who has been singing against the evils of america's politics throughout every single administration I have lived through to hear a true voice laying it on the line and calling out for others to join her, to raise their voice against the power elite that threatens their freedoms.
You've done it again! Love the passion and the angst! The "we were born for this" part I can hear as a mantra sung en masse as hordes of angry women descend on the powers that be! And I really love the quiet ending -- a contrast to the way you snarl the word "woman" the first two times!
The dynamism of that line: ‘hell hath no fury, like a WOMAN who’s been scorned’ is incredible. Probably the best protest song I’ve heard this year, because of how direct and righteous it is.
