I took up a book and the line on page 32 that stood out to me was: >He'd found the worst, most frustrating aspects of the job possible: Ignorance.< So, ignorance was my theme. And then I remembered an idea that had been running through my mind a few days ago and realized it fit perfectly.

It's a bit late here to start trying for music, and I'm not sure I could do it justice. So I wouldn't mind someone else taking up the task 😀 Edit 27.02.25: The end of FAWM is closing in, so I tried my best to give this song some tunes.

You look quite surprised to stand here at the gallows to stand beneath the gallows, side by side with me, after all you are a man who chose who is in power but once you hang and piss yourself you piss on white supremacy

You thought you would be save because you're hetero, white and male and you never bothered to find out what all the programs might entail You only ever heard that your life would be better what do other lives matter? Oh, Jesus cries!

But stupidity and ignorance is quite a human trait and an easy way to wealth and power always the best bait No matter gender, color, faith, ancestry or age some will only see and love themselves some always go for hate and rage while history's lessons rot on the shelves

But at the end the common folk will always be the fish And those who lured you to their side, not you, will eat the dish (mostly fish)

And you should not be surprised to stand here at the gallows to stand beneath the gallows, side by side with me, after all you are not someone who really is in power but once you hang and piss yourself you piss on white supremacy

And we might all hang and piss ourselves but we piss on white supremacy

you never bothered to find out what all the programs might entail You only ever heard that your life would be better what do other lives matter? YES, I dig it.

once you hang and piss yourself I still have a hard time believing that the current crop of rising fash either don't remember how it ended last time, or wholeheartedly believe it won't end similarly this time.

I started a new hashtag this year that you might find useful because so many of my songs have been #inspiredbybooks recently.

Wow. Important lyrics, and an important message. I love "Jesus cries!" in there, too. This sounds like it needs to be a hard rock or metal song. I hope someone obliges with a collab!

Thanks for the comment on "Samurai Sword". Hope you read the commentary. I'm a haiku nut and have written several songs in haiku including two since Feb1,2025. I like your Gallows humor in this song. Sad to say I've witnessed God's creatures including men piss their pants at the time of their passing (or before). I guess that's just part of life.
