A Good Chance

Liner Notes

My 8 year old grandson is named Chance. As of December 30, he got a little sister, my new granddaughter Lyra. He has stepped right up and helps when asked. So this is my tribute to him as he faces this uncertain world. #singersongwriter #acoustic #folkpop #harmonica

Lyrics

I stand a good chance if I do it with grace
I stand a good chance When I stand face to face
I stand a good chance with my heart aligned I stand a good chance leaving no one behind

I stand a good chance when I speak the honest truth
I stand a good chance By remembering my youth
I stand a good chance When I learn from my falls
I stand a good chance If I answer the calls

I stand a good chance with my love by my side
I stand a good chance With the stars as my guide
I stand a good chance Through the storms and the calm
I’ll stand a good chance With the world right here Right here in my palm

Very nice song. Beautiful sentiment, singing and playing. A pleasure to listen to. Enjoyed harmonica and guitar, and beautiful vocals.

Great tribute to Chance!! This is such an enjoyable listen!! The 6 string with that thump bass, hamonica, and tams makes a great background track and the vocal delivery is excellent!! Great song!!

Congrats on the new granddaughter! It's also pretty cool that you wrote a song with your grandson's name. It's a really good song too! And that harmonica is a really nice touch!

Oh, harmonica. So nice. And using his name throughout is sweet. Tambourine! And clear clean finger picking. Sounds like a straightforward 1-4-5 which is just right for a little country tune like this.

So very Neil Young, in the best way possible. Your grandson has a special grandpa.

Oh, the hesitation/repeat of 'right here' at the end is a nice surprise.
