Even A Blind Squirrel Is Right Twice A Day

Liner Notes
Here's a ditty that came about as a residual of my writing a song with a capo (which I do not normally use) on the 7th fret. I picked up my guitar, last night, to noodle, the capo was still there, and I started "messin" with this. In retrospect, it may have been a bit "jaunty" to attempt recording it this morning at 4:30, but, on the upside, I may no longer need a 2nd cup...
And, as I just became aware there is a #capochallenge , I humbly submit "Blind Squirrel" into the breach
Lyrics
Blind Squirrel Oh Honey, I've been bumbling along I never seem to know what's going on If I could just ask, of you A little advice, to help me get on though I never seem to do nothing right..
"Hey honey, come, and sit by me, I got something you need to see More accurate, I mean to say, I've got something here, you need to hear today Even a blind squirrel is right twice a day!"
Even a blind squirrel, even a blind squirrel Even a blind squirrel, even a blind squirrel Even A Blind Squirrel Is Right Twice A Day
Well, that didn't sound quite right But, I sure didn't want to start a fight So, I nodded sagely, and I played along And started thinking about writing the song, About that blind squirrel that was right twice a day
About that blind squirrel, About that blind squirrel About that blind squirrel, About that blind squirrel About that blind squirrel, that was right twice a day
Now you might tell me that it's wrong And you might tell me that you don't like my song And, though, I hope you go another way I really don't care what you've got to say Even A Blind Squirrel Is Right Twice A Day
Even a blind squirrel, even a blind squirrel Even a blind squirrel, even a blind squirrel Even A Blind Squirrel Is Right Twice A Day

Great use of the malaphor in the title and lyrics. The use of the capo makes for some fun music that accompanies the lyrics really well. Very nicely done.
This title cracked me up, I had heard a similar phrase about a broken clock so I was intrigued. I love the pace and humorous delivery of the lyrics, the high capo definitely pushes it all into a great, manic territory for this fun squirrel tale.
the befuddling images of the line "Even A Blind Squirrel Is Right Twice A Day" elevates this rather nice little ditty into some mush more.
loved this . . .
I love the half spoken vocal delivery, it's great. The title drew me in but your vocal kept me smiling throughout. I was thinking that's pretty high up for a capo but it works great here.
This reminded me of a phrase that a neighbor told my sister was the secret to a long and happy marriage. “You may be right dear” It feels like the singer might be singing this song as a way to avoid correcting a friend or lover. Hard to hold your tongue, but you can give it something else to occupy itself.
