Doug and I have a Zoom meeting once a week to work on songs. We discuss the word choices and make sure we have a singable product.
This song is different than our normal approach. Doug sent me completed lyrics at the beginning of February and I set them aside while I worked with other FAWM lyricists. I finally decided that I should look at the words Doug sent me and I realized they pretty much sang off the page. Why did I leave this in an ignored pile for so long? Don't know.

This is such a lovely lyric! So warm like a big hug. I like the relaxed calypso kind of beat that gives it a bit of an island feel. Lovely melody and gorgeous vocal delivery! Some really nice unexpected directions with some of the notes.

My song calls you home again...What a wonderful write! A song made from the stars, tide, breath, fire, rivers storms.........ahhh, so beautiful. A sweet melody for such a lovely write...great collab!!
