#ambient #electronic #instrumental #synth #guitar Track 2 of Distance to a Decayed Speech. This song was written and recorded on February 2
Wasn't originally going to post about this project on FAWM since I'm doing my own version of the challenge, but I realized that I might as well since it's still an album writing project in February. The rules to my own version of FAWM are:
- I make one full song every saturday and sunday of February (a total of 8)
- The song must be completely finished by the end of the day, and I'm not allowed to relisten to the song until the end of the month (if there's any audio issues in any of the uploads, that's why I didn't catch them.)
- The final album will be ordered in chronological order of when the songs were made, and the album must be at least 40 minutes long. Hope y'all enjoy

The way this morphs from what appears to be a simple guitar and piano piece into something much weirder and stranger is really nice to hear. All sorts of interesting things going on. That moody, contemplative middle section is gorgeous; the chiptune march to the finish was unexpected, and great fun.
I think this is the story about a young boy that decides to go on a walk in the night and then ends up in all kinds of adventures.
0:40 is the part he is steadily on his way to the lake, hoping to find beautiful things there. 1:30 is where he arrives at the lake and speaks to the animals there 1:46 is where the world stops being normal and he comes into some kind of black void. He then enters a dream. Around 3.40 he floats in a beautiful dark starry night. 3.57 is where suddenly, space monsters come who slowly eat away the dream world. At 4.24, the boy just barely escapes from being eaten himself and decides to RUN! 5.05 everything becomes blurry and the image gets distorted and we don't know what happened exactly.
Don't know if that's what you had in mind when making this though :P
