Sometimes my skin feels much too tight the world is too loud the sun too bright I hide out and wait for the night and once it falls I take flight
Deep within the forest I will change my shape and finally be free finally escape from being human being trapped and fake
Will I have plume, scales or fur I'll only know once the change occurred
The wind brings sounds and scents to me My vision blurrs but then I see the colours are strange but the dark is clear And then I feel I have naught to fear
A mane and antlers crown my head and from my sides two strong wings spread I'm armoured with scales and armed with teeth and claws "Behold and beware!" this dragon roars

I love this so much! Are you going to create music for it? I really identify with not feeling comfortable in one's skin and wanting to become something else that feels right. These lyrics are so good and so clever. ♥️

If only we could all shift when our skin feels too tight! And oh to be a dragon when I do. Having trouble imagining one with mane and antlers though, but there are many kinds of dragons I haven’t met yet.

Very cool use of the prompt and a great story. Agree with other comments below that the first/last verse is particularly well done.

A late but very deeply felt thank you for your comments to my lyrics "Shapechanger". I still have no music for it, so if any of you feels inspired please take it, but send me the music and the chords if you do. pointed look @robinleaf @janeg Chinese dragons are known to have manes and or antlers, they usually don't have wings though. But I just love wings!
