Liner Notes

The music was written fairly early on in February, I just didn't have any proper lyrics apart from what I had sung to work out the melody. Some of those words remained - the first verse - but I needed to expand on them.

I've played the Dying Light video game recently and it has a strong focus on UV lights and Zombies. I used this as inspiration to bounce off the initial 'light on' verse. I think they could be a lot better and less throw-away but they'll do for now. I do like that the the light can be literal and metaphorical - makes it sounds like I put some thought into it.

I have a habit of writing melodies I can't sing and this one was a struggle. You can hear the pain when I'm trying to hit the notes. Just imagine it's a zombie singing. Fixed.

I had wanted to add some more atmospherics into certain sections to push the horror/zombie film vibe but that will have to wait. It's the last day of FAWM and still need to finish another three songs!!!

This is the most unique love song I think I've heard. A mix of sad and very descriptive horror. The music and vocals are both fantastic. I totally dig it!

Very strong, poignant song, singing, playing and production. I'm currently using my mobile phone to listen to it without the headphones and it sounds very beautiful. I've noticed that the sound is different on soundcloud app and I love both sounds. Soundcloud app gives louder sound and it feels different but also very nice 🎵✨️👍

Such a sweetly delivered lyric, considering the narrator! Love that descending guitar line, and it drives along with a cool 60s feel. Vocal sounds great - the low parts are particularly good! The "what if I hold my nose..." section is so good - made me laugh much harder than it should have done! Some great output this year! Do you do anything with them in the off-season? Polish them up, finish them off and release them? I would buy that album.
