An attempt at Reggaeton.
Reggaeton originated in Panama. Best I could do for a name for this one combined with the homophone borrowed from the radio show American Routes. It was fun to include a clip of L.A. Union Station, a place I've been many times.
Full Disclosure: The drums are from a purchased Sample Pack.
Synths: Vital Ascension Sektor
Guitars: '73 Fender Stratocaster
Amp: '78 Marshall Mk II Constructive criticism is always welcome. Tell me all about it!©2025 John W Hanberry (ASCAP) All Rights Reserved

My full disclosure: I hate reggaeton. It's my most hated musical form. (And I grew up in the Latin Caribbean.) But I like this! Your version lacks the two things I dislike so much about the genre: boring chords and autotuned vocals. You take the harmonies to unusual places that keep it interesting. In place of vocals, there are those buzzy, squishy sounding synth lines and funky guitar chords that are never boring. Also, your title is clever with its sly reference to Panama.
Love the beat! Great percussion sounds to kick it off... Then unexpected but rad sounds later in the track (didn't see the synth, chimes or airport? incidental sounds coming!)
i went through the panama canal once, had to get a yellow fever vax to take the trip. i wasnt thinking that reggaeton originated in panama, so thanks for that alert. i like your music and the bits you incorporate into it, especially the union station, it wasnt the music i imagined when i went through the canal. for you possible amusement, here is a film i made of the canal with the music i thought fit at the time. but after hearing yours, i think it is better for the film, so if you want images to accompany this track, you can use any portion of this short film . it is interesting how your music slows down the rhythm of the film,
