Fails Work Harder

Liner Notes
"(Need more safes than fails because) the fails work harder" is another line from my ideas that's been there a while, long enough that I don't remember where it's from. I probably wrote it down because I watched the original "Fail-Safe" on TCM one morning when I was like 12 (well after the end of the cold war) and it freaked me for a couple days.
I haven't gotten too post-punk before, so this was fun. The lyrics wound up being more of a spoken word thing after the music was done, but I kind of like it.
Lyrics
Tell me now, what do you see Is it something worthwhile something fine
Oh yeah All right Let’s go
See me now, what do you say Do you think that we finally crossed the line
Go blow the dust Off of your star and garter We need more safes Cause the fails work harder
Go on now, roll up your sleeves Little hand says its time to rock Don’t cut no corners, use your whole ass This ain’t the time to go half-cocked
No, no, that’s not it Don’t do that again
Wising up would be a real good starter We need more safes Cause the fails work smarter
Don’t tell me why Ask me how
Can you smell it? The end is near But it’s not here yet, we are still at now
Go blow the dust Off of your star and garter We need more safes Cause the fails work harder
I can feel it coming, we’ve got a chance Long as the rain don’t follow the plow
So much personality and character in this song. Had me grinning the whole time.
