I finally got a chance to listen to this, and I'm glad I did. We're all asking questions and we need to just keep going if we want the future we desire. It's really hard. I also like the contrast of the driving guitar with the almost halting rhythm of the vocal. It's really appropriate, and sounds great together.
In a world of unknows, what is the answer? Simply: the knowing is less important than the doing. The questions do a good job of setting that up. The chorus does offer a final solution though, "the victory grand". I especially liked the "sisters, cousins" line. Another folk protest song for the ages.
So appropriate to have this optimistic fight song now, for those of us who never wanted to fight but may soon have to
Oh, this is brilliant! So catchy, uplifting and the music complements the lyrics perfectly. I think this is my new favorite anthem for current times <3 I expected you to go up on that last note; I LOVE that you didn't.
raises fist keep fighting, keep creating. This could turn into a mass singalong.
Very empowering lyrics and very nice guitar playing
Always enjoy Leonard Cohen inspired songs! Excellent work Griff. Hold the Line.
Let’s go Capo 5!! Very uplifting lyrics, and the chorus lands so well.
a fine anthem for our times!
