The smiling adventurer

Liner Notes

I'm trying out a new idea this FAWM, and that is, linking every song to a #friend or someone else in my social surroundings. The first song is for the person who is possibly the most enthousiastic about the fact that I'm making music at all, and probably the spark that lead to this new album idea. As he plays #piano, I had to make the song piano-centric, where the #soft, 'smiling' bits are interweaved with the #heavy, 'adventurous' sections.

#classical #instrumental #gentle #hard #orchestral

I like the sound of the piano with the heavier sections. (2nd of your song's in m #tit4tat)

Love the idea you've used to link songs.

It seems very well composed and put together. I love how the changes in feel aren't too harsh, but seem to flow well.

@beto Mod

Can I be your friend? 😄

Love this one, the percussion and the melody give it a nice wandering feeling that matches the title. I like the soft ending after all the energy, looks like our adventurer is finally home!

Oh do I love the sound of a hard-hit piano. Those "adventure" sections really brought this thing to life. Somehow, the contrast works without feeling like it's traveling too far afield - maybe it's the strings tying it all together? Cool stuff!

Reading the liner notes and then the first 3 hashtags, I had to hang around for the #hard part of the track. It is a great contrast and would have made quite a surprise had you not laid down the story first. I can imagine a floor full of ballroom dancers gently wafting around the dancefloor and then being completely shaken by the louder parts, but wouldn't that be fun! And I think that is what this track is, really fun to listen to 😄

I liked it all especially the adventurous sections.

Beautiful song. Definitely has a lot of feeling. The first "adventure" section surprised me.
