08: Sell The Sizzle Part One

by @frozenlonesome

Liner Notes

Audio samples from the public domain film Man to Man by the Handy (Jam) Organization (1947). Sales training from the standpoint of one man’s experience. https://archive.org/details/0178_Man_to_Man_M01671_21_00_39_00

Track created in Korg Gadget 3 using the genre select feature as a starting point. Arranged and mastered in AuriaPro. Like many of my tracks, audio samples mangled in the fabulous frekvens by Erik Sigth, developer of many fine iOS audio fx and instruments. https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/frekvens/id1062305416

This is both creepy and awesome at the same time, which is well achieved!

Creepy. Funky. Eerie. Groovy. Beautiful. This is one song, btw. You pull out all the emotions with such grace. Love that slick bassline that emerges halfway through!

These old American public films was bizarre, they must have been a weird people back then. You cut it all up and mangle it and put it on disco music but you can't make it any bizarrer,

This kicks into high gear, bright and bubbly, and fun!

What is it about those old samples that make stuff so creepy and weird? I like the synth choices. This also has a video game music vibe, or even could be the theme song to an 80's TV show.

What a cool idea for a starting point of a project! Love the way you’ve mangled the audio samples from the film with tape delay, and have woven them into the track. That synth bass is super funky too!

Oh yeah that glassy synth is sizzlin'!!! Love the distorted manifestations of that tape echo on the samples. Some serious funkin' going on here.
