Echoes of the past

Skirmish: Echo (@hmstreetteam)

Liner Notes

#echo #skirmish Well this was a bit of rush job, I only saw the skirmish when I got back from the Kiboe twenty five minutes ago...

Lyrics

I’m whistling a long lost tune,
Something from the past
Memories linger in the cold night air,
Whispered in shadow, always there.

Footsteps echo down the hall,
Faint laughter rings, then nothing at all
The walls remember what we once knew,
Ghosts were once a physical reality

Time wears thin, yet the echoes stay,
Leading the lost, guiding the way.
They call to the present, a thread to hold,
A bridge between the young and bold.

I’m whistling a long lost tune,
Something from the past
The walls remember what we once knew,
Ghosts who used to live here, long ago

Echoes and ghosts and whistles and shadow all go together very well! Nicely written, and you got it done so fast!

Nice melody, sound, and message. I like the way that many things may provide a bridge between the past and the present.

There are some lovely lines in here, I particularly like "the walls remember what we once knew," "a bridge between the young and the bold," and the callback in the last stanza to the first. Nice skirmishing!
