Really like this, especially the chorus. But also love the paper airplane pilot. A lot to love about this one. Definitely one to work up.

Good stuff, by all means rework after FAWM but this is great and a delight just as is. Without owing anything to it, this brings to mind "If you were a sailboat", and I seriously think this lyric melody and harmony is at that level. Which is why I think you should work on it post-FAWM!

So laid back and dreamy - love those 70s jazzy folk melodies and the harmony vocal on the chorus. It sounds really pure and lovely. The percussion is a good touch - keeps things rolling on nicely. The bridge is perhaps the best part - very powerful. One of your best!

First, the melody line is amazing, especially the verse. And its made even better by fantastic vocals.

Second, I love love the lyrics. The cycle through waiting/hoping/wondering/dreaming/back to waiting gives the song a very tense, expectant feel that's matched by that excellent melody line I mentioned above. The second stanza is my favorite with the image of a paper airplane pilot. That line, to me, sums up the emotion of wistful longing.

both pain and optimism flavor this deep lyric that boasts some imaginative rhymes such as pilot/violets and forest/tourist. the search for one's soulmate throughout an incarnation that has separated them is a theme i am very drawn to these days. it seems impossible but so often eventually comes true. vocals capture the intensity of the search.
