I truly love the magic of music, and especially song writing. I love when I write a song and I find myself struggling with the meaning but then someone explains the truth and it all comes together in my understanding. This song is inspired by such a moment.
Soul mates following each other through time. If we are denied love in this life then we should hope for the next. Yet hope is a trap and only courage will bring one unto the gates of hell to stand as punisher or punished.

The emotive angst that comes through the delivery of the pithy and pointed lyrics works perfectly to deliver the sentiment. The phrasing is works really well.

These lyrics are violently poetic in the best way. "A smoking gun/ Blood in the air" paints such an explicit picture, very well written. That first verse really sets the listener up for what comes next. Your vocal delivery is amazing, I love the emotion and earnestness. This world needs more of it! Great work, I'm really loving your stuff!

Lee - this is so cinematic. I love that I don’t know if the singer killed the lover or the bandits did. Also whether the you is sometimes the lover and sometimes the bandit. The details are so clear to the singer, it doesn’t matter that they’re hazy to me. That guitar is especially lovely.
