A Mysterious Force w Jil

Liner Notes
Woah, Jil - @intoyourlight - you've transformed this with your beautiful voice.
This is a song from a nascent musical - The Worm - with two physicists working deep underground on a portal to the future. They eventually make a text and capsule-only connection to a couple some generations away.
In this little waltz before that connection, they begin to realize it's time to grow and allow themselves to build a real relationship with someone.
June and Joe are just getting to know each other. Both their pasts have been rocky. They acknowledge their remoteness and hiding in their work.
Lyrics
Love’s a mysterious force That captures my attention Like gravitation
I’ll resist the waves That push us apart With darker motives
I’ll stand against hate Close my suitcase Of disappointment
A strong nuclear bond Strengthens the attraction In a new dimension
Instrumental
I’ll stand and fight Cut through the fog Of what’s left unspoken
To face the truth To drop the avoidance Open my heart
Love’s a mysterious force That captures our attention Like gravitation

This is lovely. Your voices work really nicely together, such tenderness.
Guess I never heard a waltz about science and love both. Both your voices work só well together.
Lovely duo ... your voices go really well together. The playful yet somewhat dark music works well as a backdrop for the vocals.
A soft musical moment clearly from a larger canvas. A good and well-vocalised duo harmony in the vocals.
Soooo beautiful! Love to hear your two voices together! Great collab!
lovely voices caress this raggy waltz as we dance through the laws of attraction and repulsion.
“Suitcase of disappointment” love that line. Beautiful harmony! Nicely done!
Oh, this is a testament to the transformative power of love. What a different song with the added voice. These two physicists seem so different - but there’s this delicate hope that they could build something between them. I was especially struck by the way the two voices (the deep one and the ethereal one) seem to be joined by a third voice. That felt like it made explicit the entrance of the relationship as a third entity.
