Magnet

Liner Notes
#fragment I got the idea for this song on Feb 27. I was not going to include it because I really had nothing but four lines.
I spent the few remaining hours of Feb 28 working with @javakat343 (we're rock climbing buddies and we live near each other).
When I got home there was still some time before the challenge was over, so I grabbed my guitar and started playing whatever came to mind with the edit page for this song open.
Lyrics
We are two ends of a magnet Ever spinning, never meeting Tidal forces ebbing, swelling Counterpointing and competing
Two ends of a magnet Both Attracting and repelling One is grateful one regretting One Forgiving one resenting

Brilliant lyrics; love the analogy. And well delivered vocally and instrumentally. Nice finger-picking. Reminds me a bit of Cat Stevens.
Oh, nice! Lyrics that work so well, beautiful fingerpicked guitar... Sweet way to end, and a great fragment to build on!
It is an attractive set of lyrics so far and gives natural tension to the song setting, seems like it could easily blossom into more. The music so far is enjoyable!
Nice fragment. This sways beautifully, setting the scene even with fewer stanzas. I was tempted to say that I was drawn to this but I managed to resist.
I love songs like these. "Whatever comes out." Great idea to write about magnets. A few FAWMs ago, someone wrote a song about ants and how his grandkids were afraid of them. I wish I had downloaded it. Anything quirky is right up my alley.
Sounds like something you could build a great song around. Could be opening lines, a chorus or even a bridge. Love the sound of your guitar!
I love the concept of this, and the guitar and vocals are strong. You've got something that I think could really be fleshed out into something great.
Beautiful lyrics but feels so short and unfinished. Love the fingerstyle and strong motion in the music, could easily see this taking a break for an instrumental bridge, then jumping back into the motif for one final verse.
