The Unusual Sports skirmish prompt appeared just as I was about to work on songs.

It happens that earlier today I had an idea that would add nicely to a previous idea... Both involving pole vaulting.

My daughter pole vaults in college, and this fall I started learning to vault as an older beginner. I love it! Everyone is so encouraging of each other. It uses every single muscle in the body, pretty much.

I know this is far from pro sounding but I’m new to this and I’m tired.

I’m also counting this as part of the Personal Soundtrack challenge since I’ve been singing these lyrics to myself on the runway as I prepare to vault at practice. …… I decided to brave the new realm of my Garage Band so I could record random percussion sounds for #2x4 — 2 harmony sounds are vocals and a whistle 4 percussion sounds are:

1. Shoes on the bed for kick drum sound
2. Smack two kitchen ladles together
3. Smack them a different way for hi hat
4. I’m counting my vocal beat boxing too ……
