Nocturne 5: Stingray Creek Waltz
Liner Notes
EDIT: on listening again, I've run this a little too fast and a little too late: #waltz to it instead if it keeps you awake. Changing the title to match!
Stingray Creek, Camden Haven NSW; fishing for leatherjackets (trigger fish, but sweet and non-poisonous, unlike their coral cousins!) at night in the tidal flow with a prawn trap down too. No wind, no sound but the odd tidal gurgle, moonlight sifting down. Big eucalypts around and behind us, and a gentle steady light rain of eucalypt blossom from the silent fruit bats above us, every now and then suspiciously eyeing us and our two lanterns. #piano #nocturne @billwhite51 asked for an album of nocturnes: I think I now have enough! Incidental: yes we have caught skate and stingrays, literally in double figures, in one session further down this creek. A nuisance as we were after flathead and getting hooks out of stingray mouths before release is...tricky...

Wow Tim, this is just tremendous! And so beautiful! You make that piano sparkle and carry me to a better place! I loved the liner notes too! When I grow up (if) I wanna write and play music even one half as wonderful as this! Cheers mate!
I feel immediatly relaxed and calm when your piano playing starts! Sooo beautiful and warm!
Really beautiful, Tim! It's so calming and relaxing. It just makes my mind drift away into a good place.
Thank you for your lovely description in the liner notes that sets up the piece. The piece on its own is absolutely gorgeous and takes me to a lovely place and it is fun to be able to imagine the place you describe. It sounds beautiful as you have captured it here.
This is so tender and lovely. What beautifully piano playing. I really enjoyed this.
I can definitely picture the creek flowing in the moonlight. Used to love going fishing when I was younger for the calm and the solitude, both of which I hear here. Never was one for catching stuff, though...
This is the oh, so, soothing lullaby I need, to maybe be able to go to sleep. So glad you are here. I want a song about repointing, though I might be too sleepy to go looking for it.... So glad you are here this season...Thank you for everything.
