Found an idea i had from a few years ago. Did a little I-IV-V action on it. Bing bang boom... one more done.
That's all i've got for this year. This year was special. Really special. Thanks everyone.
Lyrics
V1 I like where this is going and i think you feel the same Whatcha say whatcha think Dontcha feel we could make a great team
V2 there’s a big world out there would love to see it you and me take my hand don’t let go make the leap c'mon honey whatcha say
CHORUS I could be your truth a trusted confidant never far you could be my guiding light you could be my north star i could be a feather bed safe to lie down on you could be a fire in the cold cold night that keeps me warm
So here's what I'm thinkin' And I hope you will agree Let's give this our best shot Take on the world you and me We can make this work if we open up our minds and I think we'd be really good together so put your hand in mine
CHORUS

I absolutely adore this one. Super catchy and perfectly encapsulates that feeling of a new relationship and how lovely that makes you feel. I’m a little biased, my partner studied astronomy so “you could be my North Star” really resonates with me :)
And excellent on the one take! Those are near impossible for me so I applaud you! Lovely to hear you talking to us, solidified the connection for sure.
That intro is so sweet, does feel like a cozy open mic or coffee shop gig where someone gets up really shy and then starts singing and just blows everyone away. Super catchy, this is totally satisfying with just guitar and voice but has sturdy enough bones it could hold up to a big multi-layered arrangement. The rapid-fire rhythm of those three lines in the verses whatcha say/whatcha think/dontcha feel is great. That chorus is going to be stuck in my head for awhile.
Ta-dah!😊
Now I want to hear a live album. This is such a hopeful invitation of a love song. Great FAWM! Tell me which other songs of yours you’d like me to listen to!
I really like the rhythm of the words in the verses. Nice catchy melody, too, along with crisp and clean strumming that drives the song forward. Great last push!
Aw this is so cute! Real indie vibes, but you got a nice countryesque edge to the chorus. Love the optimism in the lyrics
This is lovely! I'm glad you went for the one-take to get this in before the end of FAWM. As others have commented, it feels very cozy and intimate - such a sweet little love song!
This sounds very cozy and intimate. I like first onetakes like these. They might not be perfect but when recorded they always conserve the initial feelings of a song. This one is great!
Tuneful, simple and soulful. Well done!
@rubberbandage Hey baybehhh! You're too good to me. 🥰
Full disclosure... i did i have this running through my little mixer and into my DAW so i could at least adjust the levels in post. But this was kinda nerve racking. Felt like i was back doing the open mic again. 😊
So impressed you got another one!! And you sound amazing, one of the best one-takes I’ve heard in ages. I love your engaging cozy interactions so much, like I’m getting a personal performance in my living room ❤️
Ta-daa!!!
This is really warm and lovely. The guitar rhythm kinda reminds me of Faith by George Michael. A really good flow to the lyrics, such as in ‘watcha say, whatcha think, dontcha feel’. Works really well. Really nice work here. Ta da, indeed!
