Listened to this 3 times in a row because I was so enjoying the overall feel of it i forgot to listen for specifics. That’s definitely partly the gorgeous vocal, I almost felt hypnotised by it. Reminds me of some of the trance stuff my brother used to listen to when we were kids. But also because the world you’ve created is so entrancing. This is all supported by such a cool soundscape. Those brassy bits are awesome, as are the gated synths when they open up. It’s a really cool collab, that a lot of people connected with, for very good reason.

The soundscape is A+++ as always. And Bijou's vocals fit perfectly into it! I like the underlying tension in this one. It both hints at a big release of energy is possible yet is still calm and just floats right along the entire time.

Aaaand I'm just realizing now that that's exactly like a sea. It might be dreaming at the moment but you never know when it will turn into a force of its own. I felt like I was riding waves the entire listen.

This just slaps! I was so entranced by the heartbeat drum, subtle piano, and gorgeous vocals and then when the mood shifted and the low brass came in 🤌🤌🤌. 11/10, excellent work

This is luscious and beautifully paced. It allows us to savour it, let it wash over us. What a wonderful soundscape and a vocal evoking the mystery of the sea, its other worldness. Lovely, lovely song.

Infectious beat, beautiful vocals, and the expert production really lifts up that GORGEOUS texture in @bijou 's vocals on this. I'm in a field, dancing, listening to this one the sound system, at a music festival... (in my head!) Oh and at 4:20, those big bass synth swells, that's just brought another dimension to the track! Excellent work from both!!

I like that the songs takes the time before and between the singing. Perfect match with the lyrics. So is that cool atmospheric sound that brings me back to the 90's. The voice seems to soar in it with its soft nonchalance that reminds me of Portishead. Nice !

Good track. Very talented, both of you. This producing is really great. Refined. Poetic lyrics that take you deep into the sea… The softness of your voice adds to the chilness of the track. And still there is a quite fast rythm to it. Smart how you build up the sounds near the end to work to a climax. All very refined. I even can hear weaves in this song, near the end. And throughout the song more electronical waves let’s say. And the interupted sound at the end, that must be the deep sea beast. 😄

Holy crap. So, so much to love about this. But as a complete production nerd, the thing that really got me was the clarity of the delay line on Bijou's gorgeous vocals. It gave me both gooseflesh and mild envy. OK. I'm going to shut up and just listen now...

Andy - you mentioned being disappointed about not getting to make a song about your daughter’s underwater kingdom. Listening to this, I wondered if maybe she just thought you had already nailed it. Beautiful place. I want to go there, but feel like I already have.

A gorgeous marriage of stygian soundscape and ethereal vocal. I get the sense of being pulled - sometimes under, sometimes across. The sea comes across as infinitely vast and mysterious, but not (necessarily) dangerous. It's a chance to lose myself in a world unexplored, the colours deep and rich, with the occasional unearthly glow, highlighting these bright denizens of the deep that exist only in my dreams.

Also, there's a naval battle.

the musical arrangement sounds to me like the soundtrack for a naval battle. it provides a propulsive background for the gentle vocals that float through it like word ghosts.

Oh I was hooked from those first trancey distant chords. Then the sweepers started coming in. I knew it was about to be a ride. Fantastic vox. The breakdown around 3:15 and build up to around 4:15 was pefection. This was a dreamy adventure. Loved it!
